A weekend filled with iconic music, family friendly entertainment, racing action, car and motorbike clubs, legendary machines, soap box racing, fun fair, circus skills and more, all at the fastest race circuit in the UK.

The theme of the inaugural Thruxton Retro is ‘Superfunk’ – a nostalgic nod to the 70s era of great music and questionable fashion. The site will be full of attractions, displays, great food and drink, and on-site camping for those looking to stay over and join the summer solstice party.

About Thruxton Circuit

Thruxton circuit is the fastest in the country with legendary high-speed corners and a reputation as a real driver's circuit. It is also one of the longest in the UK at 2.4 miles per lap.

Like many race circuits, Thruxton was originally a wartime airfield. Commissioned in 1941 the airfield was host to both the RAF and USAF and played a major part in the D-Day landings.

Thruxton has seen many recent Formula 1 drivers race regularly at the track at some time in their career. In 1993 Damon Hill (Formula One World Drivers Champion 1996) drove a demonstration run in the Williams FW15C, recording an incredible 57.6-second lap of the 2.4-mile circuit - the unofficial all-time track record. It is now the high-speed rounds of the British Touring car championship and superbikes that regularly bring in capacity crowds.
