Nation Radio to launch with familiar Westcountry voices across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset on Monday 30^th March

A host of popular and familiar commercial radio voices are returning to the South West’s airwaves as Nation Radio prepares to launch local programming across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset on Monday 30^th March.

Saffy, Scott Temple, Tony Wright and Stuart McGinley – who all featured at the recently closed Pirate FM across Cornwall and Plymouth - lead the impressive line-up of personalities assembled by Nation Radio. Former Heart Westcountry star Victoria Leigh and Matt Rogan, who spent 10 years hosting Breakfast Shows in Devon on stations including Heart and The Breeze, feature in Nation’s team of Westcountry voices. Selina Ross, the highly regarded voice of Westcountry traffic and travel information for many years, will also return to the region’s airwaves with Nation Radio.

Saffy, from Pirate FM’s Breakfast Show, takes the same slot at Nation Radio alongside Matt Rogan. Saffy said; “I can’t wait to join Nation Radio and wake up the Westcountry alongside Matt. I’m proud to represent Cornwall and the South West and deliver content which matters most to those in the region, whilst having some laughs along the way!”

Nation Radio Somerset is already on air on DAB across Somerset (converting to DAB+ signals and with a full programme schedule from Monday 30^th March), on the Nation Player mobile app and on smartspeakers “Play Nation Radio Somerset”.

Nation Radio Devon launches on Monday 30 March on DAB+ on the Devon and Plymouth multiplexes, the Nation Player mobile app and on smartspeakers “Play Nation Radio Devon”.

Nation Radio Cornwall launches on Monday 30 March on DAB+ on the Cornwall multiplex, the Nation Player mobile app and on smartspeakers “Play Nation Radio Cornwall”.

To receive the station on DAB Digital Radio you will need a DAB+ compatible radio and you may also need to complete a rescan/retune on 30 March to add the new services.
