Get ready for a summer full of curiosity, creativity and hands-on experiences at Newcastle’s Life Science Centre. From Saturday 19 July to Sunday 31 August, families can enjoy a full day out packed with live shows, exhibits and activities designed for visitors of all ages. The centre is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

A highlight is the new planetarium show Life: The Greatest Story, exploring one of science’s biggest questions – is there life beyond Earth? You can also catch the best science demos from the past 25 years in an action-packed live show, featuring sparkles, surprises and the occasional splash.

Creative minds will love the Making Studios, where you can build and take home your own spinning creation. Budding scientists aged 7 and up can dive into real experiments in the hands-on Experiment Zone.

Lightbox features new exhibitions where light, colour, sound and water phenomena come alive. Discover a six-metre-high swirling tornado tower and a giant glowing ‘string’ that forms stunning shapes.

In Wow Zone, families can explore engaging exhibits including a six-metre-tall Big Machine and race friends and family on pulley chairs. Step into Space Zone to explore a replica of the International Space Station and experience what life is like as an astronaut. For younger visitors, Play Zone offers a space to lead their own adventures, explore freely and spark imagination.

Life is just a two-minute walk from Newcastle Central train and Metro station, making it easy to reach by public transport.

Nation Broadcasting’s Promotion 'Life Science Centre - Summer of Tickets' (‘Promotion’) is organised by Nation Broadcasting. The Promotion will run from Monday 14th July 2025 at 00:00 until Sunday 24th August at 23:59 across Nation Radio Yorkshire, Nation Radio North East and Nation Radio UK.
