Vacancy: Field Sales Executive

What we are looking for:
Account Manager, Newport, Cardiff, Bridgend (Nation Radio Wales, Bridge FM Radio and Dragon Radio)
An established Account Manager ideally with previous experience in selling radio and multi-media campaigns. You must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable with meeting sales targets. Strong organisational skills will be a necessity.
Ultimately, radio sales is all about self-motivation, great relationship building, commercial acumen, and above all a can-do attitude. As well as this, it’s important that you can demonstrate a passion for radio and our brands.
What the job entails:
As an Account Manager for Nation Broadcasting, you will be working from home to develop a client base in your region. You will need to know your local territory and be able to spot commercial opportunities by generating new business leads and identifying, understanding and satisfying current client’s business requirements. It will be your job to co-ordinate, manage and deliver fantastic radio solutions for your clients on Nation Broadcasting radio stations. Ultimately, you will be expected to meet individual monthly sales targets.
We will provide full support from the local management team and the Digital and Sponsorship and Promotions teams.
Salary is based on experience - benefits include car allowance, life assurance, a non-contractual uncapped commission scheme and we'll provide the equipment you need (laptop, printer, mobile phone).

Location: You will need to be based in close proximity to the area advertised in order to attend client meetings.
Vacancy: Commercial Scheduler
To process sales orders and schedule the daily advertising and promotions for our commercial radio stations across the UK.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
- Process orders generated by the sales teams on to the scheduling system
- Process orders arriving from our national agency
- Checking and editing advertising audio (copy) for transmission
- Liaising with the sales team regarding, orders, amendments, missing copy
- Liaising with the programming team to ensure the quality of material broadcast
- Responsible for the interaction between the scheduling system and the playout system to ensure all ads are correctly played out on air.
- Generating reports and data for sales teams and external agencies e.g. PRS
- Liaising with external production companies for the advertising copy
- Managing airtime availability in order to maximise revenue
Skills and Experience: -
- Full training will be provided
- Good administrative and computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-pressured environment
- Ability to prioritise to meet tight deadlines and juggling competing demands
- An interest in radio
- Helpful attitude and telephone manner when dealing with colleagues
Job Type and Benefits: -
- Part Time role on Monday, Tuesday and Friday for 7.5 hours per day

Location: Although this role is home-based you will need to be within a commutable distance of our main UK technology centre in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan which is used on rare occasions for meetings and disaster recovery.

Earlier this month Nation Broadcasting announced The Big Switch project which will see the expansion of Nation Radio and the launch of Easy Radio in various parts of the UK.
Nation is also investing in 'in-house' news provision for all its radio stations through the creation of Nation Network News under the leadership of John Ryan.
From September, we’ll be providing a national bulletin and several local area mixes from a team of freelance writer-readers and journalists using home as their main work location.
As we build the team, we’re looking for newsreaders who put a premium on crisp, tight, writing with personality and have the craft performance skills to really complement the rest of our programming.
