Classic vehicle enthusiasts from across the Exeter area will be treated to one of the largest gatherings of historic vehicles in the South West when the Historic Vehicle Gathering returns to Powderham Castle, Kenton, on Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July12th.

Organised by the Crash Box and Classic Car Club, this annual event has 1,500 vehicles booked in which includes nearly sixty full-size and miniature-sized steam engines, classic cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and tractors. There will also be 76 vehicle clubs attending.

The special attractions include the attendance of the sole surviving Volvo P1800 car used for the filming of the 1960s television series, The Saint, starring the late Sir Roger Moore.

Alongside the display of vehicles will be 70 trade stands, craft stalls, charity displays, autojumble, children’s rides, refreshments and catering and roaming live music.

The Historic Vehicle Gathering also helps to raise funds for various local charities, with this year’s headline charities being Dementia Friendly Honiton, Torbay Prostate Support Association (and the Exmouth Group), and the British Heart Foundation (Exeter Branch).

The Historic Vehicle Gathering runs from 10am until 4:30PM on both days.

Early Bird tickets are £18. Tickets on the day are £20, while under 17s get in for free. A Castle Upgrade to enable you to also explore the castle’s interiors and beautiful grounds costs £5 per person (plus booking fee).
