A winter fair with music, storytelling stalls and craft demos, to provide entertainment for all ages that will help ‘banish those winter blues’

Trefin in North Pembrokeshire is hosting a Winter Fair at The Ship Inn on Saturday 24th January starting at 10am, with activities throughout the day and early evening.
According to one of the organisers, Lynne Gardner, January was chosen because it is a quiet time of the year when we all need something to look forward to and be involved with.
Local crafts people and businesses have responded and there should be plenty to interest all-comers. It will be a day full of stalls, games, music, crafting and demonstrations. Food will be available in the Ship Inn from 12.30pm.
Around 4.30 – 5.00 pm the investiture of our “mock mayor” will take place with due pageantry – a unique and light-hearted ceremony. This will be followed by songs, tales and more merriment into the evening.
Storytelling will be by local author, Christine Wilson and others, and music will be provided by local choir Cor y Felin and the folk group Silver Sands (previously Dead Men Walk In).
All are welcome. Come as you are - or in suitable medieval costume – and be prepared for a day full of fun and games.
