Age Alliance Wales roadshow visiting Swansea in July

Advice and support for older people during challenging times

Age Alliance Wales, a collection of charities providing information and services for older people, is hosting a roadshow event at the Rooftop, Swansea Grand Theatre in Swansea on Wednesday 17th July.

The roadshow, which is free of charge, will provide information and support on a wide range of issues relevant to older people including arthritis, stroke, and caring for a person living with dementia.

The Alliance’s Chris Williams says “We know that older people in Wales are facing some really tough challenges right now as they grapple with NHS waiting times, long delays to accessing social care, and the cost-of-living crisis.

“And we know they must face these issues on top of the normal challenges of ageing such as arthritis, hearing loss, and caring responsibilities.

“However, we want to assure older people that they are not alone and that there are lots of organisations out there ready to offer their support. So, I would urge any older person in the area, or their friends and relatives, to come along to the roadshow and seek the support needed for a more comfortable later life.”
