Nation Broadcasting hits record 7.2M weekly listening hours

Nation Broadcasting has posted a record audience of 7.2m million listening hours and 1.26m weekly reach in the latest national audience survey from RAJAR.

Q2 2026 listening shows Nation pulled in 1.26m weekly listeners — up 11% (126k) on the last quarter. Total Listening Hours were up significantly against the same quarter last year, improving by 20% against the same quarter 12 months ago.

Notable performances came from Nation 80s, Nation 90s, Nation 70s, and recently acquired Radio Exe, which all achieved record total listening numbers.

We spend hundreds of thousands of pounds each year with RAJAR to survey audience and our stations are part of the same survey system as our commercial competitors and the BBC.

We have recently added Radio Exe Devon to the group and launched Nation Radio Westcountry covering Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

In Wales, Nation Broadcasting operates Nation Radio, and Dragon Radio across the country, along with four local commercial radio stations covering Bridgend County, Swansea Bay Region, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

In Scotland, Nation Radio broadcasts to Glasgow, Edinburgh and across the central belt.
