Set in 1985, with a fabulous 80’s style sound to the music, the musical comedy stars Robbie who is a nice guy, stuck in one of the most romantic jobs in the world, a wedding singer. He loses all hope in the future when he is abandoned at the altar by his fiancee, only to regain his dream when he meets a young waitress called Julia and falls in love.
YC Durham are celebrating their 40th anniversary next year, and have performance credits including the Gala Theatre Durham, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Royal National Theatre, and tours of France, Germany and Russia. Their founder and Producer, Linda Watson, was awarded an MBE from HRH King Charles earlier this year.
