Angelo’s Ristorante in Sunderland’s historic Sunniside opened in summer 2006 in a beautifully restored Regency Grade II listed building.

It is a family-owned restaurant that has been sharing their love of good food and warm hospitality for almost 20 years. The family consists of Federico & Cristina, a happily married couple with 3 kids, Giulia, Sofia and Luca.  Federico and Cristina keep the show going; they are the face of Angelo’s and are known for their love for Italy and their passion for hospitality. Giulia is well known for her incredible cocktails, and Sofia is known for her media management and customer interactions and Luca (the baby of the family some may say) is working hard in the kitchen, joining the brilliant chefs and ensuring to keep up the Italian culinary traditions. At Angelo’s the menu is inspired by the flavours and traditions that have brought them together as a family, and they hope you feel that sense of “homeliness” when you go for a visit.

Specific Rules

Nation Broadcasting’s Promotion 'Wine and Steak Wednesday' (‘Promotion’) is organised by Nation Broadcasting. The promotion will run from Thursday 1st January 2026 at 00:00 until Wednesday 4th February 2026 at 11:59am across Nation Radio North East. Each subsequent round opens on Wednesdays at 12:00 and closes the following Wednesday at 11:59.

The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Competition Terms’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.

Details of the Promotion:

To enter the Promotion you must enter via the entry form. 

You must select the correct answer from the multiple choice options.

Only correct entries will be counted. 

Only one entry per person will be counted.

A winner will be chosen at random from all the correct entries after the closing of each round.

Prize per winner is x2 ribeye steaks, x2 portions of chips and x1 bottle of house wine at Angelo's Ristorante.

Prize can only be redeemed on Wednesdays.

All prizes are non-transferrable and no cash alternative will be offered.

Prize does not include any necessary travel/transport that the winner may require to redeem their prize.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms

Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in the promotion.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. ID such as passport or drivers’ licence to confirm name and address of winner will be required.

Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details will be passed onto the client to arrange delivery of the prize. Entrants’ details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless the entrants have ticked an opt in box.
