Local Spotlight - Naomi and Jack's

Listen throughout the week to hear what happened when Mark Collins visited Naomi and Jack's to find out about the work they do for children and young adults.

To find out how you can support them, keep reading!

Naomi and Jack’s is a local independent charity that provides expert care for more than 600 seriously ill children, young adults and their families in their two specialist centres near Winchester.

They support more than 600 families in central southern England with outstanding care, specialist short breaks (respite), play and activities, therapeutic support and bereavement support, with services available 24 hours, 365 days a year.

The charity recently changed its name from Naomi House & Jacksplace to Naomi and Jack's, and changed its look and feel, to break down barriers for families, stand out from the competition, raise awareness within the community to raise funds and to educate the general public about exactly who the charity is, and what it does to support babies, children, young adults and the whole family.

Naomi House provides expert medical care for babies and children, as well as the opportunity to play, have fun and experience different activities. They also support families and siblings, to make precious memories together and receive vital respite.

Jack’s Place is the only hospice in the region that offers specialist care, support and independence for young adults. Medical developments help more seriously ill children reach adulthood, so at Jack’s Place, they continue that care, along with providing opportunities to be independent, socialise and have fun.
