Step into a world of twinkling lights, festive cheer and timeless Christmas traditions. The Yuletide Express is more than a train ride- it's a heart-warming journey into the magic of the season.

What to expect

Your festive adventure begins at Swanage Station, lovingly dressed in its Christmas best. As the scent of mince pies fills the air and carols drift from the platform, you're welcomed into a cosy, nostalgic celebration.

• All aboard! Settle into your seat for a one-hour return journey through the stunning Purbeck countryside, where wintry views and festive spirit go hand-in-hand.
• Be greeted by our Magic Ticket Collector, who’ll make sure your family is ready for the enchantment ahead.
• Our cheerful Christmas Elves will lead songs, spread joy, and bring smiles to little faces.
• Then, a moment to remember – Father Christmas himself will make his way through the train, meeting each family and delighting every child with a festive gift:
  • A quality Christmas present
  • A traditional candy cane
  • And of course – a satsuma, just like the ones tucked into stockings long ago
• Children can also visit the Christmas Wishing Tree to write and hang up their wishes – a gentle, magical way to share their hopes for the season.

Specific Rules:

Nation Broadcasting’s Promotion 'WIN a Christmas Train Adventure at Swanage Railway!' (‘Promotion’) is organised by Nation Broadcasting. The promotion will run from Monday 1st December 2025 at 09:00am until Friday 5th December 2025 at 09:59am on Nation Radio South.

The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Competition Terms’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.

Details of the Promotion:

To enter the Promotion, you must participate with the 'Golden Hour' mechanic during the 9am hour of each day on the Mark Collins show.

Only one entry per person will be counted.

Only correct entries will be counted.

This competition is open to persons ages 18 or over on date of entry.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

There will be one winner.

Each prize consists of tickets for up to five people to travel on the Father Christmas Yuletide Express at Swanage Railway.

Prize winners may choose from 6 December 2025 or 7 December 2025, subject to availability.

Specific train times cannot be guaranteed. Winners will be allocated a time based on remaining availability at the point of booking.

The prize includes the Father Christmas Yuletide Express experience, which lasts around one hour, along with festive entertainment on board and a gift for each child.

Prize does not include any necessary travel/transport or parking that the winner may require to redeem their prize.

The prize(s) cannot be redeemed for cash, cash alternative or any other form of compensation.

Swanage Railway reserves the right to amend or withdraw the experience if operational needs require it.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms

Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in the promotion.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. ID such as passport or drivers’ licence to confirm name and address of winner will be required.

Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers will be collected and used to process entries., Winner’s details will be passed onto the client to arrange delivery of the prize. Entrants’ details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless the entrants have ticked an opt in box.
