As part of the national LEAF Open Farm Sunday, Coleg Sir Gar is opening its agricultural campus at Gelli Aur to promote all things agriculture.

See the dairy herd being milked; view the agricultural machinery; walk the farm; find out about ground breaking research projects; explore environmental management; discuss education and training opportunities; engage in have a go activities; have a bite to eat and much more.
The college farm is 344 hectares in the fertile Tywi Valley, 3 miles from Llandeilo and 14 miles from Carmarthen. The focus is milk production from grass. There are 500 milking cows split into two herds. There is also a small beef enterprise and a flock of breeding ewes. Gelli Aur is also home to the Agricultural Research Centre.
See the work of the Agricultural Resource Centre (ARC), together with NRW 4Rivers for LIFE project and Welsh Water Source Project and a demonstration of the new Gasmet greenhouse gases analysing emission equipment along with Harvestlab NIR crop and nutrient analyzer.
